Buddy_and_conner

This is a photo of my dog Conner, and my cat Buddy. They hated each other when they first met, and as elderly pets, finally got to a point where they were willing to put their differences aside and be friends. Buddy passed away last year at the age of 17. We miss him terribly. I think Conner does, too.

Quotes
At the heart of each of us, whatever our imperfections, there exists a silent pulse of perfect rhythm, which is absolutely individual and unique, and yet which connects us to everything else.
George Leonard American Writer  (1923-2010);
Surely the day will come when color means nothing more than skin tone, when religion is seen uniquely as a way to speak one's soul; when birth places have the weight of a throw of the dice and all men are born free, when understanding breeds love and brotherhood.
Josephine Baker Performer  (1906-1975);
We all should know that diversity makes for a rich tapestry, and we must understand that all the threads of the tapestry are equal in value no matter what their color.
Maya Angelou Poet, Dancer, Producer, Playwright, Director, Author  (born 1928);
Your assumptions are your windows on the world. Scrub them off every once in a while, or the light won't come in.
Alan Alda Actor, Director, Screenwriter  (born 1936);
In republics, the great danger is that the majority may not sufficiently respect the rights of the minority.
