This is a painting I did last year which I call "Vigil." It was inspired by the many times young people gathered to comfort each other and remember a lost one.

This is a 30x 40 inch original oil on canvas. I was asked to paint an image to be used on tee shirts, stationary, etc. for an American Cancer Society Relay for Life in the small town where I live: Havana Florida. It helped raise 64,000 from this little town for the cause. I still own the painting and it is shown in a frame shop in Tallahassee, Florida. It won Best of Show at Creative Tallahasse, City Hall, Tallahassee.FL.2006 I can send a higher resolution image if you need it
Thank you
June

Photo is one I took in 2010 of Dr. Jill Seaman, my hero, who has dedicated much of her life and most of her resources, volunteering in remote villages in Southern Sudan. One of the world experts on kala-azar, a deadly neglected tropic disease that largely affects the poor, Jill gives her self unflinchingly to save the sick and the poor.

My 3 year old daughter with down syndrome Jacqui West cheering for her achievement of walking down to get her certificate at her Early Head Start Graduation. Jacqui didnt walk until 33 months and we are all so proud of her ambition to be like the other kids in her playgroup.Mommy filled with love and tears. One of my best days ever!

This image is a collaboration between a graphic artist and myself. I wanted a logo for my hound sanctuary depicting a lost dog finding a safe, loving place to live, either temporarily until she was adopted or for her lifetime. The dogs at Silverwalk live in and outside of my home. They know they are loved. I know they need homes but we do the very best we can in the meantime; if one is never adopted, they are here for life.

I am assisting a friend with a brain injury, out of his wheel chair and into the ocean.
