This is a photo of my little girl, Ella as she goes through the motions of learning how to ride a bike . Faced with her fears, she rests in the thought that Dad is there to help her. And with that thought she gets her strength and her confidence. Here's to her dad and all the dads who take the time to be one!

It's hard work to get good photographs, but it's worth it.

I did sprints for track and field and last year, when I was a sophomore, was my first year of doing track and field. Even though I was the slowest sprinter, I always showed up to practice even if I didn't want to, so that I could get better. I was thinking about not joining next year because I lost all my races, but then after being awarded with this, I realized I should keep being dedicated to the sport and finish my last 2 years of it strong. Now, I am a Junior, I am a little faster, but still, I know if I keep showing up to practice and keep my dedication I will become one of the fastest in my team for next year.

My high school debate team. I was in 10th grade. At first debate was hard but eventually it got easier. I was a bit scared doing my first competition but after I was fine. I was awarded two medals and a trophy (the green one on the right). Dedication is what drove everyone on that team to make it to regionals. I'm now in 11th grade and this year I'm making it to nationals!

My dedication to my community earned me an award from the Louisville Metro Human Relations Commission. This taught me that whatever am doing people are watching me to recognize me.

This represents all the love and dedication a father can put into raising his daughter so she can grow to be a fine young lady. Then giving her to someone else so she can show all the wonderful and beautiful things she has learned because of him in her life...and it goes on and on.

My daughter, her husband and newborn baby. My daughter, Jessica, was determined to have her baby before her husband, Matt, would ship out on the cruiser Ronald Reagan. She made it! January 1, 2005 Georgia Porter was born! Her husband, Matt shipped out the next day to the Gulf. It was wonderful and very sad at the same time.
