My 3 year old daughter with down syndrome Jacqui West cheering for her achievement of walking down to get her certificate at her Early Head Start Graduation. Jacqui didnt walk until 33 months and we are all so proud of her ambition to be like the other kids in her playgroup.Mommy filled with love and tears. One of my best days ever!

My daughter, her husband and newborn baby. My daughter, Jessica, was determined to have her baby before her husband, Matt, would ship out on the cruiser Ronald Reagan. She made it! January 1, 2005 Georgia Porter was born! Her husband, Matt shipped out the next day to the Gulf. It was wonderful and very sad at the same time.

This is a photo of my little girl, Ella as she goes through the motions of learning how to ride a bike . Faced with her fears, she rests in the thought that Dad is there to help her. My high school debate team. I was in 10th grade. At first debate was hard but eventually it got easier. I was a bit scared doing my first competition but after I was fine. I was awarded two medals and a trophy (the green one on the right). Dedication is what drove everyone on that team to make it to regionals. I'm now in 11th grade and this year I'm making it to nationals!
