This is a 30x 40 inch original oil on canvas. I was asked to paint an image to be used on tee shirts, stationary, etc. for an American Cancer Society Relay for Life in the small town where I live: Havana Florida. It helped raise 64,000 from this little town for the cause. I still own the painting and it is shown in a frame shop in Tallahassee, Florida. It won Best of Show at Creative Tallahasse, City Hall, Tallahassee.FL.2006 I can send a higher resolution image if you need it
Thank you
June

There is a profound difference between living and life. Living may extend time for another day. But life is far more than sleeping and waking. Life is more than merely existing. And, although it would be easier, life cannot be bought in a pill. That is why Keep A Child Alive buys more than just the pills needed to fight HIV/AIDS in Africa and India. It buys the essential nutrition, shelter, support and education to help ensure those pills are taken properly and effectively. It buys the things we all take for granted, but that make all the difference. A bed. A roof. A ride. A book. A smile. KCA offers children, their families and entire communities a shoulder to lean on and a heart that beats for them. Because KCA believes we can do something far bigger and better than buy the ability to live. We can buy the dignity that is life. We can buy compassion. Buy love. Buy the cure. Buy life. Because the more you buy, the more you save. KEEP A CHILD ALIVE.

I made this so everyone knows that when you give something to someone you change the world. It may change the lives on people and will show them that they do matter.

My friend Preslea and I volunteering our time at the local homeless shelter, Souls Harbor. We had a great time visiting with the homeless and talking about their life stories. They were so excited to get a picture together :)

This is a picture of my family and myself at a relay for life in 2009. We recently did relay for life in 2010 and are planning to participate in relay for life this year and as many years as I can.

These children are the winners of the 30 Day I've Got Your Backs Challenge. Those who take the challenge log their kind acts for 30 Days, at the end of 30 Days the results are tallied and the winners are rewarded for their kindness. The I've Got Your Backs Foundation was created in October 2009 in memory of my 21 year old son who passed away from H1N1, his life was dedicated to helping others--his Foundation is dedicated to the same. www.ivegotyourbacks.org or follow us on Facebook www.facebook.com/ivegotyourbacks
