Learning: During our Summer vacation last year in the Adirondack Mountains of New York, my 7 year old grand-daughter Hayleigh, enjoyed a peaceful moment in a hammock practicing her reading skills.

This is a photo of my little girl, Ella as she goes through the motions of learning how to ride a bike . Faced with her fears, she rests in the thought that Dad is there to help her. And with that thought she gets her strength and her confidence. Here's to her dad and all the dads who take the time to be one!

My 3 year old daughter with down syndrome Jacqui West cheering for her achievement of walking down to get her certificate at her Early Head Start Graduation. Jacqui didnt walk until 33 months and we are all so proud of her ambition to be like the other kids in her playgroup.Mommy filled with love and tears. One of my best days ever!

LEARNING... "WHAT MATTERS MOST" In our degrading society, showing a child good values is not enough. Parents must show children opportunities to practice good, ethical values - that should be a foundation for learning "what matters most".

My niece found a caterpillar while we were at the lake. She asked me about it's life-cycle, diet, life span and even it's migration habits. I was very impressed by her willingness to obtain information on her interests.
