This is a 30x 40 inch original oil on canvas. I was asked to paint an image to be used on tee shirts, stationary, etc. for an American Cancer Society Relay for Life in the small town where I live: Havana Florida. It helped raise 64,000 from this little town for the cause. I still own the painting and it is shown in a frame shop in Tallahassee, Florida. It won Best of Show at Creative Tallahasse, City Hall, Tallahassee.FL.2006 I can send a higher resolution image if you need it Thank you June

REACHING OUT

Quotes
It's the most breathtakingly ironic things about living: the fact that we are all...alone. Singular. And yet what we seek - what saves us - is our connection to others.
Wally Lamb Author  (born 1950);
There are those whose lives affect all others around them. Quietly touching one heart, who in turn, touches another. Reaching out to ends further than they would ever know.
William Bradfield   -
A smile is the universal welcome.
Max Eastman Writer  (1883-1969);
The words of kindness are more healing to a drooping heart than balm or honey.
Sarah Fielding Novelist  (1710-1768);
How far you go in life depends on you being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving and tolerant of the weak and the strong. Because someday in life you will have been all of these.
George Washington Carver Botanist, Agricultural Chemist, Inventor, Educator  (1864-1943);

If you see someone new at the school you just walk over and say hi.

This commercial really inspired me! I was in Sunday School a while ago, and the ten-year-old granddaughter of the teacher was there. She doesn't go to our church, and she was sitting at a table with the teacher and the assistant. I could tell she wanted to sit with somebody else without having to ask, so I asked her to sit beside me. Her whole face just lit up, and she thanked me again and again. It felt so good to do that, I try to do it every day at least once. Thank you!
