Every July, my parish and 2 others go to Beatyvile, Kentucky, where we build homes for some of the most impoverished people in our country. This is a picture of our crew standing in a house that a group of us had built. The man who owns this house today was so thankful for it he was decorating before we had all the electric done! To some people, the house we built was small and irrelevant when you drove past. To the locals, every house we build there makes a difference. Whether it's a porch we build or an addition or a water line, every local knows which house it is. We make a difference. It's amazing to be able to help the people there because they genuinely appreciate our effort and make us realize all we have to be grateful for. I am eternally thankful for the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of these people, and for everything they have taught me about living.

Keep up the great work. I wish I was physically able to help do the kind of work you are doing for those who need the help. May God Bless all of you...
