Your Everyday Hero: Orrin H.

I'm blown away by someone who's doing the hardest job of all--trying to reach kids and put them on the right track. I taught school, so I know. Kids hear you. But do they listen?

This man, Orrin Hudson, is MAKING them listen! I've seen him in action. He works up a sweat, putting his heart and soul into reaching out to every student, even to the last one in the very last seat of a packed auditorium. He can tune them in, he can turn them on, he can touch them!

I saw an article about Orrin in USA Today, and I dedicated two years of my life to writing his life story because I believe what he's doing is incredible. He walked away from selling cars and put himself in debt to spend his days teaching chess telling kids to "push pawns, not drugs," to "Think it out, not shoot it out." The life he saves may be our own. Let's get behind this guy!!
