Who Is Your Hero?

Do you have a personal hero? Tell us about them. It doesn’t have to be perfect to make a difference in someone else’s life.

Your Everyday Hero: Diane L.

Maybe it will sound cliché, but the truth is, my Mother is my hero. She is the only person I have ever met and most likely will ever meet that is always there and will never let me down. She always comes through, and growing up she always made it seem easy. Now that I am older and realize that things aren’t always as they seem I know some of the things she did for my brothers and me were probably a struggle, but the beauty inside my Mom was that she never let us know of her struggles. She never needed or wanted for anything from her children except for our love in return.

I think a hero is someone who comes in to rescue you when the rest of the world leaves you hanging, and under any circumstance, at any time. That describes my Mom. She has always been my supporter and I know she always will be as long as she can be. I love her, so very much. I don’t think she could ever know just how much she means to me, but one thing is for sure, I know how much I mean to her. There are no questions and no doubts on that.
