Do you have a personal hero? Tell us about them. It doesn’t have to be perfect to make a difference in someone else’s life.
Share A Hero Story NowMy son, Jason, was severely injured in an automobile accident that left him in a coma for five weeks; he was minimally conscious for another month. While in rehab, Jason struggled to learn how to walk, talk, and eat again. Though he still struggles with his balance and his cognitive skills, he has come so far.
It amazes me to think how he went from the verge of independence: graduating from college… To total dependence…To a young man determined to find his old "self." He is my inspiration for life.

My sister was also in a car accident when a drunk driver drove through the front of her house. She has many of the same issues that Jason faces, but she continues to fight for a better life every day! She is my inspiration for life and persistent. Thank you for reminding me how much I love her.
