Instincts

I am an author of several Poetry Books titled "Poetic Journey", "Journey of Thoughts," and "Journey Within".

Our poetry is written for all ages, especially our youth. Our poems encourage constructive thinking, teach values and lessons, and demonstrate positive reactions to different emotions all in a rhyming fashion. I would like to share the following poem.

Instincts

Not sure of what to do
When things are not as you think
Or if you are just at a loss
Then use your instincts

Sometimes they do hide
Deep, deep, down inside
Yet they always appear
When you are confused and unclear

About the right things to do
Always do what works for you
If it does not hurt others
Because it is then you will discover

That the best decision that you can make
Is to use your instincts
For goodness sake
It can help to keep you from harm
By sending you an alarm

So if you are not sure of what to do
When things are not as you think
Or if you are just at a loss
Then use your instincts
For it never costs
